I’m a big Kriega fan and I’ve been loyal to the brand for 20+ years, using their US20 and US10. I must say however that Lonerider is on a par and in some respect even better, thanks to the more versatile concept of a ‘soft top box’ which allows me to pack things that in a Kriega style would get squashed (see suits for work). The build quality is second to none, with a remarkable attention to detail. The bag came with a few extras, including a keyring and stickers which is an extremely classy touch. I’m totally happy with the Overlander and I’m looking into getting some of the Motobags next, if you’re in two minds about buying Lonerider bags just go for it - you won’t regret it!

The overlander is an excellent bag. The quality is top notch however the design of the bag could be improved. The securing strap fixing points are too low if you are trying to strap it down to a luggage plate. Whilst the Beaver tale has a molle panel, the sides of the bag do not. There are loops but the bottle holder I purchased just bounces around.
Overall I am very happy with the bag.

Hi, Do not have a full review yet because the temperature outside has been prohibitive for riding.
The delivery and initial customer experience of the Overlander was problematic. The way it was shipped, the semi-rigid insert would not fit inside the soft-side. After extensive wrestling with it, I finally got a ruler out, took measurements for the inside of the soft bag, then made markings on the insert and bent the insert under my knees to crease it. That is a whole lot of work, and is NOT communicated in the use instructions or on-line videos; so disappointing. It is not unreasonable work, but you should clearly communicate that as use instructions and pre-mark on the insert where to fold and crease. Better would be for you to pre crease it before shipping. Not that hard to have a flat-bed creasing die integrated with the trim.

J'ai commandé la tente ''Classique'' lone rider et le sac overlander 48 litres! J'ai auparavent regarder les différentes vidéos (reviews) concernant les deux produits afin de bien de me préparer pour une randonnée de plusieurs semaines à travers le Québec et les provinces maritimes du Canada! Qui plus est, les couleurs de la tente et du sac m'apparaissait parfait pour s'agencer avec ma Super Scout 2025 black smoke ! Les produits sont arrivés rapidement juste avant noël! Malheuresement, lors de de la préparation du sac, un bris s'est produit. Était-ce moi qui a fauté ou le sac qui avait un défaut...??? Peu importe! Le service à la clientèle de Lone Rider a été impeccable et m'a immédiatement fait parvenir un nouveau sac! Franchement cela m'a rassurer énormément, considérant que je vais partir sur des routes où ma moto, la tente et la bagagerie seront testés rudement! Lone Rider s'assure de mon respect et de ma fidélité pour ainsi dire! Les semaines suivantes votre équipe et votre représentant aventurier viking produisait un vidéo éducatif de préparation de la bagagerie overlander... Hahaha! J'ai l'impression que c'est un peu de ma faute! Désolé les amis et surtout merci de votre service efficace! Cordialement - Yan

Hello. Le sac est globalement top. Néanmoins les soudures du rabas qui permet de fixer l'armature en plastique sont fragiles car j'en ai arraché une partiellement au montage. J'ai réparé avec de la colle. J'espère que ça tiendra dans le temps. Il faut que vous amélioriez la robustesse de cette soudure.

De très bonne conception, pratique avec les deux poignées de chaque extrémité du sac, petits rabats avec crochet et bouclette pour éviter que les sangles vole en roulant seul petit bémol et amélioration serait de mettre deux rails caoutchouc sur le fond du sac qui n'est pas protégé.✌️

I haven't weather tested it yet, but the roll top strap is not fabric, which prevents water creep-in by capillarity. There is even an extra curtain inside the roll top, presumably as an extra layer of waterproofness.
Small comment: don't know why the straps for the lower buckles on the sides to cinch down the roll top are so long. Even with a single fold, I can manage to buckle both sides with the straps fully shortened.

Really pratical, flexibel and very easy to use. It holds what you need, I 've used the 30L for a 14 day trip and just used that to carry all my clothes.
It's nice that there are no need for specific mounting brackets, and all the straps that you"re ever gonna need are included.
I can highly recommend The Overlander .

J’utilise déjà le grand pour y ranger la tente LR et ces deux « petits » vont aller en survalises au dessus des valises LR latérales.
Leur usage est destiné à la popote d’un côté et aux essentiels de couchage quand nous voyageons à deux.

Simply a very good bag. (48 liter)The straps are well designed. However! If you are 2 ups, you must have steel cord straps, which will keep the bag rocksteady on its place.

This review is for the 30L size Overlander. Overall, this is a great, versatile bag that I have been using in place of a hard top box on the back of my bike. It is spacious enough to hold essentials like a liner or additional layer for warmth, spare set of gloves, sunscreen, and still have room
for a small bag’s worth of groceries The attachment straps with buckles are confidence inspiring and the beavertail flap holds docs and other items nicely and makes them easily accessible. The bag is waterproof and seals down somewhat like a dry bag, but the buckles/straps at the end are a little too long to keep the flap folded tightly. Also, my first bag began separating at two of the laser welded seams which made it nowhere near water tight anymore. Thankfully, Lone Rider has a solid warranty and customer support system so I had a replacement sent to me in short order without any fuss. I like this bag a lot though next year I want to gift myself a Lone Rider top box!

Unfortunately, the exterior waterproof coating on the bag shows chafing through where my Rok straps contacted. This was after a single 5 day ride.
